Collectable photographic record of the Chamberlin, Powell and Bon’s brutalist Roger Stevens Building on the campus of the University of Leeds. It includes the bronze sculpture, the ‘Spirit of Enterprise’ by sculptor William Chattaway and the external so called ‘organ pipes’ which are ventilation ducts.
We love supporting small independent businesses and the publishers of this Zine, Cafe Royal Books, are a perfect example, we have a wide selection of their titles to choose from.
Cafe Royal Books was created by photographer and Fine Art and Illustration Lecturer, Craig Atkinson. His zines are collected by MoMa, The Tate, the British Library, Glasgow School of Art, the Martin Parr Foundation and the V&A to name a few. Craig’s clients include the New York Times, Dazed, Orange, GQ and the Royal Photographic Society.
They are quite simply a brilliant record of architecture, picking up more than simply the bricks, mortar and concrete – they capture the essence of what fascinates about post-war British architecture.
