Collectable photographic record of Robin Hood Gardens, the brutalist social housing estate designed by the Smihsons, demolition began in 2017.
Published by small independent publishing house Cafe Royal Books, created by photographer and Fine Art and Illustration Lecturer, Craig Atkinson. His zines are collected by MoMa, The Tate, the British Library, Glasgow School of Art, the Martin Parr Foundation and the V&A to name a few. Craig’s clients include the New York Times, Dazed, Orange, GQ and the Royal Photographic Society.
They are quite simply a brilliant record of architecture, picking up more than simply the bricks, mortar and concrete – they capture the essence of what fascinates about post-war British architecture.
