The main picture is a collection of photographs taken by graphic artist, model maker, photographer and Hackney local, Nick Sellek. Using a selection of the many images he has taken of his neighbourhood he has created a scene that resembles Hackney in east London. Nick explains about the concept

‘On the outside, it appears to be a bleak and silent, snowy December day in East London, but as you start to open the windows, the council block windows and railway line arches reveal dimly lit interiors and advent calendar traditions. The 24th door being the entire council block in the background’.
